As always, the kids that spent their spring break with us for our first week of Kids Fashion Design Camp held nothing back. Starting with minimal or no sewing skills at all, they focused and completed unique and inspired garments, once again showing us what a dedicated child can do when they’re working hard and having a great time.
The students in this camp were especially cool and our teachers, fashion designers with training from FIDM (Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising) and OTIS (OTIS College of Art and Design), imparted their knowledge to the students, who were all eager to learn. The week culminated in a fashion show for family and friends, and grandparents sat along side brothers and sisters in our Hollywood studio as the students showcased their brand, the inspiration from which it was derived, and a full collection with multiple looks.
Spring camps are in full swing, but summer is right around the corner. With six weeks of summer camps to choose from, we hope to see some familiar faces as we continue to pass on the magic of fashion design, one of many facets of Unincorporated Education.
